They believe they must visit our great apes, the mountain gorillas, and follow in the footsteps of the late Dian Fossey. Therefore, you can organize this one-day trip from solo travel to group travel, allowing you to share the costs. In order to reduce expenses, you can split the cost of transportation, guidance and fuel. The group split all those charges equally. Additionally, if you are traveling as a solo client, you are responsible for covering all costs, with the exception of gorilla tracking permits, which are only fifteen hundred dollars. ($1500)

Before we factor in additional logistics to complete the package, such as transportation, meals, and water, the total cost per person comes to approximately 1890 dollars. When you get to the park, by seven a.m. (7:00 a.m.), you must already be there. Your guide knows which gorilla family you’re going to follow or track.

He will walk you through the entire process, including the gorilla group selection, registration, and selection of the appropriate ranger guide. He will also select the ranger guide and porters for you.

Not only that, but he will drive you to your respective gorilla tracking starting point, and the tracking will take about three to five hours.

Depending on the gorillas’ movements and the type of trek you choose (short, medium, or long), you can expect to return from gorilla tracking between midday and 1 p.m. Once again, you will need to return to your vehicles and drive back to Kigali, a journey that will take approximately two and a half hours. You’ll encounter numerous sights en route, and don’t overlook the Nyirangarama local market.
