1 day safari to Arusha National Park (from Arusha city.)

1 day safari to Arusha National Park is one of the shortest and most adventurous safaris one can enjoy. Arusha is one of the most popular safari destinations in Tanzania. This is the second largest city in Tanzania and is the most favourable starting point for most travelers aiming to visit different national parks in Tanzania.  Close to Arusha City is Arusha National Park, which is often overlooked as travelers are often rushing to Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park. Arusha National Park is located 52km from Arusha city which is just one and a half hours’ drive. It is so accessible and so convenient for walking and canoe safaris. This park is Mount Meru’s main host, offering optional hikes for those who do not want to hike Mount Kilimanjaro. Arusha National Park has fewer carnivores and more herbivores, especially the giraffes.

However, this park has a lot to offer that can be explored in one or two days as shown in the itinerary below.

Highlights: Transfer from Arusha to the park, game drive, lunch, canoeing, and return to Arusha.
