5 Days Primate Safari Experience
The 5 days primate experience starts and ends in Kigali. It covers 2 gorilla destinations from 2 different countries that is Uganda and Rwanda. The trip will take you to volcanoes national park where you will have a great time meeting the mountain gorillas. You will proceed to Bwindi impenetrable forest which has half of the world’s mountain gorillas. Finally! You will proceed to Kigali or your flight back home.

Detailed Itinerary: 5 Days Primate Safari Experience
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali international airport and transfer to Volcanoes.
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met and greeted by our friendly driver guide who will brief you and take you through your trip plan. Before you know it, you will be transferred to Volcanoes national park where you will check in at gorilla lodge for relaxation, overnight stay and dinner.
Accommodation: Five volcanoes (Upper Midrange)/ Ingagi park lodge (Lower midrange)
Day 2: Gorilla trekking at Volcanoes national park
On this day, you will have a great time meeting with the mountain gorillas in Volcanoes national park! After a tasty breakfast, you guide will pick you from the lodge. You will head for briefing by ranger guides at 7:30 and at 8:30am with packed lunch. You will start the trek to hunt for the gorillas and after finding them you will spend with them a maximum of 1 hour. This walk can take 4-5 hours depending on where you meet the gorillas. The park is steep, it is a real hiking and being physically fit is recommended. After trekking, you will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable
After breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park, home of the heavy weights.
Accommodation: Four gorillas lodge (Luxury) Ichumbi gorilla lodge (Midrange)
Day 4: Gorilla trekking- Bwindi Impenetrable
On this day, you will have a great time meeting with the mountain gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable forest! After a tasty breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the lodge, head for briefing and later enjoy the fullness of the mist forest as you see the gentle giants and other wild life species like buffaloes, elephants, monkeys, butterflies, and different bird species. Only one hour is permitted to you with the gorillas. Locating gorillas can take a few
hours or the whole day depending on how far they moved from the place they spent the previous night. After the trek, in the evening you could go for a guided nature walk or a community visit.

Day 5: Transfer back to Kigali international airport
After a good night sleep at your lodge, it will be time for your final transfer from Bwindi to Kigali international airport for your flight back home.
