Detailed day by day itinerary for 15 Days Classic Uganda Tour
Day 01: Mountain Elgon
Your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or place of residence in Kampala ready for a drive eastwards of the country arriving in Mbale town for a mid-morning stretch and a cup of coffee, after which you shall proceed to Sipi Falls. Arrive and check-in and have lunch. After lunch, you shall take a local guide to trek the foothill of Mountain Elgon where you will enjoy an excellent view of the terrain, watch several birds and feel the great breeze. Return to your accommodation or a rest, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 02: Mountain Elgon Hiking
Rise up early and have breakfast, after set out with packed lunch. Meet the park guides who will brief you and are ready to guide you through the trails in the mountains, there will also be porters that can help carry your luggage just in case its heavy. You will start with any trail such as Kapkwai, Kapkwata, or Budadiri Forest exploration centre. During the hike you will have a great adventurous time. During the trek, you will also hike up the Wanale Ridge, Sipi falls hoke and later visit the coffee plantation. Later, return back to the hotel in the evening for dinner and Overnight

Day 03: Sipi Falls to Pia Upe
You will spend the day of your classical safari in this cool paradise as you will visit the Sipi fall, the three waterfall outlets will leave you in awe. This is also referred to as a paradise by many travellers as the area is full of flowers, birds and beautiful creeks.
Latter in the Afternoon, you will be transferred to Pian Upe game reserve in the Karamoja subregion of northeastern Uganda. It is the second largest conservation protected area in Uganda. You will enjoy an evening game viewing with a remarkable number of animal and plant species to have a glance at.

Day 4: Pian Upe to Moroto
Rise up early and have breakfast, head out for an incredible cycling experience, and later head for the Kraal in Ik or Matheniko. After lunch, you will head northwards to Moroto with your driver guide where you will enjoy the sighting of several birdlife on your way. You will arrive in Moroto in the late afternoon where you will check in to your booked accommodation as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 05: Moroto to Kidepo Valley National Park
Following breakfast, you will be transferred from Moroto to Kidepo Valley National Park for your next adventure. Arriving late in the afternoon, you will check in your booked accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 06: Kidepo National Park
After your wonderful breakfast, you will start with a fascinating game drive through the arid River bed, savannah, small forests, hills plus the foothills of the mountains to marvel at the impressive flora and fauna in Kidepo Valley National Park.
You will then head to the Karankorog Hot springs as you witness the numerous animals that roam in the park along your way. The experience is absolutely fantastic since each game drive has a different experience even if you repeat the same route more than once.
You will head back to your lodge where you will have your lunch, and later in the evening, you will be privileged to spend some time with the Karamojong people. You will learn a lot about their culture and norms.

Day 07: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Following an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will embark on your transfer to Murchison falls National Park. On your way, you will enjoy the beautiful sceneries of the terrain, and view several bird species among others.
Upon your arrival at Murchison Falls National Park, you will enjoy an evening game drive before heading to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay

Day 08: Murchison Falls National Park
Wake up early, take breakfast and prepare for a very eventful day. The drive/Guide will pick you up and take you for a game drive to see lions, leopards, giraffes, the Uganda Kob, buffaloes, oribi, jackals, elephants, warthogs, Jackson hartebeests, hyenas and countless birds. Look out for the early morning risers and predators like leopards returning back to their dens after hunting.
After the four-hour game drive, you will be taken back to the lodge for lunch, refreshments and relaxation as you for the Afternoon boat cruise. While on the cruise you will spot crocodiles, hippos, and most of the animals already seen while on your earlier game drive. They will be drinking water and bathing by the shores of the river. This part of the river Nile offers some of the best birding spots in Uganda. Watch out for the Shoebill storks, Goliath heron, hornbills, the yellow-billed stork, pelicans, bee-eaters, kingfishers, Egyptian goose and African fish eagles. The boat cruise ends at the bottom of the Murchison falls and is a great time to take some great photos to show your friends back home.

Day 09: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Rise up early in the morning to have a leisurely breakfast. After, check out of the lodge then drive from Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale Forest National Park your next destination on this Uganda safari package. This will be a 6-7 hours drive journey but rewards you with lots of amazing views, especially from the breathtaking rift valley and its escarpment. Lunch break will be at a hotel in Fort Portal city then you connect to Kibale Forest National Park, about 26kms away.
Your afternoon will include a fun-filled nature walk in Bigodi Wetland just adjacent to Kibale Forest. This wetland shelters over 138 bird species, 8 primate species and including blue monkeys, olive baboons, grey-cheeked mangabeys, black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys. Most of these primates and interesting birds like the Great Blue Turaco can be spotted on your afternoon guided nature walk. After, drive back to the lodge to have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Chimpanzee Trekking – Semiliki to Rwenzori
After your hefty breakfast, drive to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for a briefing on chimpanzee tracking guidelines and also to be allocated to a park guide. Kibale Forest National Park shelters a huge profusion of primates, about 13 species of primates making it the primate capital of the world.
The actual chimp trek here begins at 8:00 am and lasts for 2-4 hours inclusive of 1 hour of magical encounter and photography. Your chimpanzee tracking experience will entirely involve in-depth learning about how chimpanzees behave, feed, copulate, and groom each other and others.
Not only will you have a striking encounter with chimpanzees, but also the opportunity to capture views of other primates including L’Hoests, red-tailed monkeys, red colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and black and white colobus monkeys to mention but a few. Later in the afternoon, you will head to Semiliki National Park for a game viewing experience and then later to Rwenzori Mountain.

Day 11: Rwenzori Mountain to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Following an early morning breakfast, you will head out for a hike up the Rwenzori Mountain, where you will enjoy the beautiful scenery with different vegetation zonation. Your one day hike on the Rwenzori Mountain starts very early in the morning and in the late afternoon; you will descend and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a crater evening drive

Day 12: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have morning breakfast then proceed for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains. Here you explore an array of wildlife including Elephants, Buffaloes, Topi, warthogs, Hyenas, lions, and several bird species.
The game drive lasts about 4 hours and remembers to carry some drinking water binoculars and a camera. After the game drive, you return to the lodge for lunch and refreshments. In the afternoon, you head for the Kazinga channel boat cruise. This is a great chance of seeing several aquatic species like crocodiles and hippopotamus alongside other wildlife and bird species on the river banks. Day 13: Drive to Bwindi Through Ishasha
Following an early morning breakfast, you will be picked from your accommodation and drive towards Bwindi Via Ishasha, where you will have an opportunity to see the tree-climbing lions and lots of other wild animals that roam within the national park. You will arrive at either Rushaga or Nkurungo in the late afternoon.

Day 14: Gorilla Trekking
Very early in the morning, your driver-guide will pick you up from your accommodation and drive you to the park headquarters for the briefing before you embark on the life-changing adventure in the African Tropical rain forests. There are a lot of other forms of wildlife to get your eyes on besides the mountain gorillas that are the primary attraction in the park. you will have a life-changing moment in these thick forests as you watch these massive creatures do their daily activities.

Day 15: Golden Monkey Trekking
After breakfast, you will enjoy golden monkey tracking from where you will enjoy incredible sightings in the tropical African forest. You will return to your hotel and relax at leisure for the rest of the day.
